I’m an entrepreneur at heart and I’ve always been that way. I love reading about businesses and what got them started, whether it was a personal experience, an epiphany, or something else completely random. For BROposal Planners, it came to me recently after I just proposed to my beautiful fiance.
I planned and planned the PERFECT proposal to take place in Kauai at Hanalei Bay. I thought of everything, and I mean everything! I called various restaurants to make reservations in case one fell through. I texted the surprise photographer numerous times, ensuring that she knew what I was wearing and more importantly what my girlfriend was wearing. Would there be a code for when the big question was about to go down? Would someone ruin the surprise (aka my friend texting me on the drive over “congrats!”)? Now, everything ended up working out perfectly and luckily, she said yes. I also love planning these type of things, but I realized that not everyone shares that same neurotic and borderline paranoid excitement that I do. However, when I looked online for companies that could help a guy plan a proposal, the only ones I could find were overly feminine and girly. There’s nothing wrong with that, but as someone who just went through this experience, it would have been helpful to work closely with a guy who had to get on one knee and who knew EXACTLY what I was going through. In my opinion it’s the same reason why most wedding planners are women – the relatable factor in that for the most part, a wedding is the bride’s big day. A marriage proposal is a guy’s big day, and I wanted to bring that masculine touch into play. Thus, BROposal Planners was born.
So what exactly do we do? As the slogan says, we help guys plan and execute the PERFECT proposal. Whether you already have a brilliant idea and need help executing it (photographers, music, etc.) or have no idea where to start, we’re here to help you sail through one of the most important moments of your life.
